About Alfredo Yao
Alfredo M. Yao is a Filipino-Chinese and a rags-to-riches businessman who founded the privately held company, Zest-O Corporation. His other businesses include Semexco Marketing, Inc., Harman Foods, Amchem Marketing, Inc., American Brands Philippines, Inc., SMI Development Corporation, Philippine Business Bank and Zest Airways. He also served as the Special Envoy to China for Tourism and Cooperation. He was conferred as the Most Admitted ASEAN Enterprise Award in the Innovation Category for his Zest-O Corporation. Yao was the awarded 2005 Master Entrepreneur by Ernst and Young.

The last bank that had an IPO was East West Banking Corp (Stock Code EW) last April 2012, IPO price was P18.50/share and now trading at around P31/share, that is a big increase in less than 1 year. Of course, not all IPOs are successful but banks are usually stable and the owner Alfredo Yao has a good track record. I’m still thinking whether to invest in Philippine Business Bank.

How about you, are you going to invest in the IPO of PBB?

Hi! I’m also thinking whether to invest in the IPO of PBB or not. Frankly, it was the first time I heard of the bank. But reading about the track record of the founder makes me less hesitant to invest. I still have 3days to mull over things.

Are you gonna invest? Let us know…
