Suze Orman Interview Video

Suze Orman Interview by Karen Davila on ANC, almost 45 minutes of advice on personal finance, definitely worth watching many times.

Some of the things I got from the interview:
-Stop “Latte Expenses”, invest the money instead
-Set aside at minimum 10% of income for savings
-Emergency fund should be 8 times your monthly income
-Peso cost averaging
-Get Life Insurance only if with dependents
-Health Insurance is extremely important
-Insurance is not an Investment, Insurance is Insurance, Investment is Investment
-For now, save in Pesos instead of Dollars
-It’s not how you get out of Credit Card Debt, it’s why did you get into a Credit Card Debt to begin with
-Educate more people about investing in Stocks, make it more accessible and help them realize they can do it on their own

And I think this is one of her most powerful statements in the interview, “I believe in my heart, how do you tell people who don’t have money, if you yourself are making money from it. You can’t. I wanted to come here without any strings attached, without making money”.
